Week 15: Future tense; all writings (6 points total)

Sketch one (2 points) 

In the year of 2030, I will be 29. Hopefully by then I will be living in a lovely home with another—or single.. it doesn’t matter. I’m sitting on my hand-me down recliner couch that my father gave me when I moved out after college. I now live in a small town home in Oregon, working as a clay modeler for Laika studios. Being a full time artist and working at my dream job is everything I could ever dream of and to finally achieve it now is something I Cannot express. As an artist it is expected that I won't receive much but I’ve earned a reasonable sum to get by. I’m grateful to have lived a good life so far and my thoughts begin to wander off and I realize IT'S THE HOLIDAYS! My work schedule has kept me so busy that I forgot that it was December. I soon begin to ponder about the gifts I will be sending out this season to my family and friends. As usual, I’ve learned at a young age that holiday shopping is too much of a bother, so I usually don’t bother buying gifts—rather, I find handmade gifts more sentimental and as an artist it's no issue to think of something creative. 

My family and friends are to greatful every time they receive their gift from  me. On the same note in my case, I get over stressed when receiving complex gifts, especially if they are expensive, so maybe this year i'll ask for something simple like a sketchbook.

Sketch two (2 points)

50 years from now, some technologies that will most likely dominate the century are AI life forms. Even in this year of 2020, Smart technology has over swept the nation and has been used in households, jobs as well as the government.  Now in the year of 2070, Ai and smart technology has reached the heights of artificial intelligence that is unspeakable. This causes a great issue in society as well deep speculation on whether or not this outcome may soon become too dangerous. The potential threat that smart technology and AI has on society is far too great and among society has created a paranoia for some folks of high tech.  There is most likely a chance that this sort of technology can get hacked, which will create a large impact on many high classified documentation, personal info as well as many other dangerous files when in the wrong hands. 

When it comes to me trusting any smart technology holding all my important documents and classified information I’d simply avoid all costs to not use it. I still go by pen and paper when it comes to my passwords and I do have a slight fear of technology such as this.

Sketch three (2 points)

In the year of 2220, I’d like to think that everything society believes now takes a turn for the better. We use more logic rather than being clouded by selfish human traits.  Society is now together as a whole and has become one. Apart from that, technological advancements have become more stable and it's more about creating better for the society rather than just for the money. I’d like to believe that we are able to live on other planets that can inhabit the human species. Advances in technology will reduce global warming, and the extinction of animals grows higher in population, we’ve adapted in new ways to inhabit living spaces which will reduce forest destruction. 

It’s hard to imagine what my future descendants will live like in the future, but I hope they live better and smarter than what we have now.  My descendants will contribute to the good of rebuilding our society. I hope that history from the past will only want my descendants to do better, and care about being respectful and good willed citizens. As for artists, It is safe to say that artists are highly dependent on when reestablishing new technology and data plans for future use.
